What to expect in Clinical Supervision
Erica is an EMDRIA-Certified EMDR therapist, also certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy with clinical training in DBT and CBT.
Erica practices from a social justice and trauma focused lens and prioritizes this in her role as a clinical supervisor.
Therapists will learn how to practice and abide by the Social Work Code of Ethics through case examples and real world implementation.
Therapists will learn how to create and maintain clinical systems that adhere to/make clients aware of ethical limits and boundaries.
Therapists will learn to implement healthy professional and personal boundaries to reduce the risk of ethical violations.
Supervisor will regularly implement ethics education into regular supervision time.
Therapists will receive guidance and support on ways to identify professional and personal strengths that best support clinical practice.
Therapists will learn and develop clinical rapport building skills that work best for them, along with each individual client.
Therapist will learn the importance of self care and the role it plays in their professional journey.
Therapists will develop their clinical skill set and how to merge various modalities to best serve each individual client.
Therapists will work with supervisor to identify their educational goals and ways to utilize CEUs to best support clinical development.
Supervisor will provide tools and resources to support educational goals of supervisee, while also providing resources for outside education.
Supervisor will utilize supervision time to provide education based on identified needs.
Supervisee may request education specific supervision as needed, to cover any areas of growth that may be identified.
Clinical Supervision Pricing
Per the NC Social Work Certification & Licensure Board, Supervision is required for every 30 hours of clinical work. The board requires LCSW-A therapists to complete a minimum of 3000 clinical hours, which equals a minimum of 100 supervision hours. However, until the LCSW is obtained, clinical supervision continues until the completion of full licensure.
