Presently, we are looking for in-person and/or hybrid therapists. With in-person availability needed at least 2 days per week. This is a W2 position.

We are looking for therapists who are:

  • Committed to Whole Mentality’s mission statement and statement of positionality listed & linked above. Primarily, we are inclusive, affirming, and accessible. 

  • Committed to ongoing anti-oppressive practice, learning, and doing better. 

  • Willing to learn and engage in marketing and community engagement opportunities

  • Willing to work at least 2 days of evening hours (3pm-6pm or later) per week, otherwise scheduling can be flexible. At least 1 day of evening hours will be for in-person availability. 

  • Conduct a minimum of 18 sessions per week (Clinicians are able to see up to an average of 26 clients a week, based on job performance - ie overall wellbeing, note completion rate, etc.)

    • Yes, there is a “maximum” case load of 26 sessions per week. The mental health and wellbeing of our providers is part of our ethos.

  • Willing to run 1 group/community offering per calendar year. 

    • This could be a multi-week therapy/support group, or 1x community workshop or series

  • Able to complete clinical notes within 2 business days, and intake notes within 7 business days. Any and all crisis notes expected to be completed within 1 day

  • Able to return client/prospective client/referral/community partner phone calls/emails within 24 business hours

  • Willing to commit to learning and growing their clinical practice through an evidence based practice and/or decolonizing therapy education in line with their clinical values & professional goals (see training/stipend below)

Pay Rate: 

  • 60% (provisionally licensed) of insurance/self pay rates (reimbursed for copays, deductibles, consultation fees, etc., any time client/insurance pays you for your interactions with your client(s))

    • Fee rate negotiable for fully licensed clinician commensurate on experience.

  • $15/hour administrative time pay. 5 hours per week. Use as you wish. Expectation to use for consultations and marketing yourself during the initial 90 days, until you maintain a “full” caseload of 18 sessions per week.
    *An additional hour of administrative time per week is available for every 4 sessions per week average increase. Example: If you are now seeing 22 clients per week = 6 hours of admin time per week. 26 clients per week = 7 hours of admin time per week.

    • Biweekly pay (paid based on insurance reimbursement)

    • No mileage non-compete should you decide to pursue another work environment

    • The option to take your clients with you should you decide to pursue another work environment

  • After 90 days:

    • EMDR Training (with Whole Mentality, PLLC specified trainer) or $500/year CE Stipend

    • 10 paid holidays per year (you pick which holidays at hiring, and December prior each year)

      • *prorated based on your start date

    • 1 floating holiday in your birthday month

    • 2 weeks PTO

      • *paid at your average weekly salary

    • (Optional) Monthly professional development group for those interested in private practice/additional income as trauma therapists

Post interview, all candidates will be required to: 

  • Complete a background check (local, state, & federal)

    • These will occur annually

  • Complete an education & licensure verification

  • Provide a copy of their clinical license for North Carolina (Ex: LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA, LMFT, LMFTA)

  • Provide 2-3 references of their clinical and/or professional experience 

  • Provide proof of malpractice insurance coverage prior to any start date with 1 million/3 million coverage
